I was out in the city, a place that was a mixture between Martain Place and Circular Quay. I was waving goodbye to friends and walking off. It was a nice sunny day, sun was whining and I was wearing a sun dress with sandles. As I wasw alking down george street, near the corner or Ivy, I noticed people running. I looked beyond the running peeople and saw water coming in. At first I thought the water would be knee length, then as it got closer I realised that it would go beyond.

I quickly noticed sandstones that was jutting out forming the side of a building and started climbing it. I reached the first window still just as the water hit. The water level was just under the window still. What good luck. I sat down on the windown still and relaxed from my climb. I did notice another girl scrabmling after me, but she didn't scramble up in time. She was swept underneath by the water.

I sat there swining my legs in the water, waiting for it to receded. I turned on my side and noticed another girl sitting on a window ledge just above me. It was my high school friend Vase*. She was doing the same thing as I and was waiting for the water to recede. She looked at me and said that was llucky we found the ledge when we did.

The water receeded and the ground seemed so far away, slowly and carefully I got to the ground, and continued walking along the road. Vase joined me in walking. We were walking into a huge out pergola apsace, with tables stacked in the middle. As we walked closer to the tables we heard the sound of water again and knew that we had to fun for it if we wanted to survive.

I got to the tables first and got to the top first. Vase was trying to climb on as well but the stacked tables were not strong enought to hold two people. I knew that one of us had to get off. I was kicking her hands away as she was clawing to get to the higher table top that I was at.

Fortunately for her the waters only rose to her legs before receeding. We were safe. Vase got to the floor first and she was staring daggers at me, I knew I was in for it when I got to the bottom. I took my time getting down, as I had nowhere to go. But before I got to the ground, we heard the water com in again, and the table stack that we had just been on started to come down. This time Vase got a head start and immediately ran for the second stack of table. It wasn't as tall as the one we were on, but it would be safe.

As I got closer, I knew I was in for a fight. I start climbing as the water hit the chairs and tables. Vase was already at the top. I knew there was no chance that I was going to win the fight. As I raced against the rising waters, I was thinking of how to defect Vase before she could throw me off. It was such a reversal of position. I was in the same postion as her when and still deciding on what to do when I felt smthing against me. It was a table leg with nails sticking out of it.

A split second decision later I had the leg in my hands. I started to fend her away as I scrambled and hung on tight as the water rose to my neck. Vase knew she didnt have a chance, not against me and the table leg with nails. Fortunately we didnt have much to fight out, the water receeded quickly. We both climbed down and knew that we were not friends anymore. We walked out sepearte ways. I walked towards the barn that was onverted into a resturant as that was where I worked at. I took my apron up and was about to start the table service, even through noboy was in there.

There was only a table fo men who had come in before the waters and the waters didn't even reached inside. I was about to serve them when, I realised that they werent customers at all. They were people after me in diguise as customers. I then reached for the barn rope that was hanging on the ceiling and slide to the other side of the room. I then start swining rom rope to rope like tarzan going from one barn room to another. Until I saw a window and crashed throught it. Outside was the river and I knew that the people in prusuit didn't know how to swim. I drop rolled on the the bankment of the river and then straight awya lept into the waters.

It was then I realised that it wasn't really a river but a amusepark, just like the water park section in Jamberoo. The water wasn't going to stop them for long. I needed to keep runnning. As I started to leap out of the water. I was overtaken and one of the men was in front of me. I tried to do another jump, like a frog out of the water but another man jump from on top and I felt him push me down.

I fell down on to the ground, with a sickening crunch on myhead, but I knew that I had to get back up straight away if I wanted a chance. I leap again. This time the leap felt different. I was lighter.

I turned my head a I began ascending up, and saw a head on the ground. It was a female head with short hair, eyes open tongue out. From my low angle I thought that the body must of been behing the head but as I kept rising I saw that the head had snapped clean of the body where it had landed on impact with the ground. It was me.
